The SF Editors wiki was created in February of 2008 as a continuation of the BestEditorHugoWiki project, which was begun post the segregation of the Best Editor Hugo Award into two parts, long form and short form. There being not much awareness of who edits which books (compared to magazines, where it is consistently listed right up front), that wiki was especially aimed at facilitating nominations for the long form Best Editor Hugo Award.

Cheryl Morgan and Anne KG Murphy (now Anne Gray) adopted SF Editors into the rubric of the Science Fiction Awards Watch information cache in order to facilitate more awareness of who is doing what in the field of SF.

Editors and fen alike are invited to contribute.
